As a result of the two working meetings held in February and May of this year, the Social and Health Action working group, upon the initiative of its coordinator the Conseil Général du Gard, has committed to organise a conference entitled: “European Exchanges to improve Elderly Care Services””. This conference will be held by the Conseil Général du Gard in Nîmes on 25th and 26th September.
The conference aims to reflect and brainstorm on the best strategies and interventions for achieving improved domestic care in a society with an ageing population that requires more and better services. Themes such as methods of financing, public-private partnerships, quality of services, comparisons of operation in distinct European territories, professionalisation of the personnel providing the services, analysis of a new market niche and source of employment and many others will be discussed in round tables with a case study methodology.
