The 8 and 9 September the Province of Gipuzkoa organised, in the framework of the XXVII Summer Courses of the Basque Country University in San Sebastián, a course about “Citizen participation: new political culture with a shared leadership” organised by the Province of Gipuzkoa.
Civic engagement in the elaboration and decision-making process is a strategic line of work for the Province of Gipuzkoa. In this line and in the framework of the relationship established through Partenalia, the province of Gipuzkoa worked with the CG de Val de Marne, which has a long experience in the process of citizen participation in the decision-making process of the public sector.
The course had 3 parts: theoretical framework, European experiences and approximation to Euskadi. During the “European experiences” part, the CG du Val de Marne participated with an intervention of Simone Abraham-Thisse, elected member, and Aline Guerin, Director of the citizen participation projects that take place in their territory.
