Diputación Foral de Gipuzkoa allocated 2,96 Million Euros to its Social Affairs Department for fighting social exclusion

Following the European Employment Strategy, the Social Affairs Department of Diputación Foral de Gipuzkoa seeks to improve occupation rates and the quality of employment, to boost an integrated labour market and to reduce social disparities in order to avoid social exclusion.

The action lines to be developed are the following:

  • job placement and professional orientation through the application of personalised instruments of information and laboral orientation, as well as training and internships;
  • to stimulate an integrated labour market with innovative measures to fight against social exclusion of specific social groups.

The target public for this kind of help are:

  • unemployed women
  • people with long-term unemployment
  • young people looking for their first job
  • unemployed people older than 40 years
  • people with disabilities
  • others at high-risk of social exclusion

Public secondary schools, training centres and other kind of social entities with significant experience in the field of employment, will be able to apply for funding.
