José Manuel Barroso, re-elected President of the European Commission

Mr. Barrosso was elected the 16th September to renovate his mandate like President of the European Commission.

Priorities of the new Commission:

• to guarantee an exit to the crisis;
• to lead the fight against climate change;
• to develop new sources of development and social cohesion;
• to move towards Citizens’ Europe;
• to open a new period where Europe will be a global actor.
