During the last meeting of Partenalia celebrated in Terni (Italy), the Members of the Political Council of the international association has chosen unanimously the President of Diputación de Castellón, Mr. Javier MOLINER, as President of Partenalia for the next 2 years.
He will be supported in his duties by 2 vice-presidents, M. Serge HUSTACHE from the Province of Hainaut (Belgium) and Mr. Feliciano POLLI, president of the Province of Terni (Italy).
In his first speech as President of Partenalia, Mr. Moliner highlighted the five action lines of the international association that will be supported in his mandate:
- Facilitate the access to European funds in the new framework programme.
- Increase the lobby initiatives and international presence of the association.
- Forster the contacts with other specialised European networks and associations.
- Gain new members and extend the geographical area of action of Partenalia
- Promote the development of joint European projects among the Members.
According to Mr. Moliner, in order to fulfil this goal it is very important that all the members of Partenalia work together and add their ideas and contents to the common benefit of their municipalities and therefore, of the European Union, in order to reach a real territorial, economic and social cohesion.
In words of Mr. Moliner “To change the reality and interact with Europe, Partenalia is and will be our best tool. We have to adapt our institutions to the new European scene to optimize resources and catch every opportunity for progress”.
Mr. Moliner was born in Castellón (Spain) 39 years ago. He holds an engineer degree and he was a professor in the University Jaume I (Castellón, Spain) before becoming President of the Diputación de Castellón and city councillor of the city of Castellón.
