Partenalia participated in the conference ‘Governing a multilevel Europe’

Partenalia participated as a speaker in the conference ‘Governing a multilevel Europe’, last 2nd of December, organized by the Committee of the Regions. This event has the aimed to give voice and visibility to the different levels of government in the European Union and promote multilevel governance in the EU.

President Moliner took part in the panel ‘From EU cohesion policy to Europe 2020: stepping up the multilevel governance principle’. During the speech, he presented to conclusions of the summit of Partenalia that had been held the day before and stressed the need to work together, from different local intermediate administrations, to promote multilevel governance.

The President Moliner debated with Iskra Mihaylova, Chair of the European Parliament’s Committee on Regional Development (REGI); Michel Delebarre, Dunkirk, Member of the CoR and Political Coordinator of the CoR’s Europe 2020 Monitoring Platform; Manuel Pleguezuelo, Director General for Civic Participation, Relations with the EU and External Activities; Luc Martens, Mayor of Roeselare and President of the Association of Flemish Cities and Municipalities, CEMR and Bill Tompson, Deputy Head of the Division for Regional Development Policy, OECD.

Other members of Partenalia attended this conference.
