Partenalia will attend the 13th edition of the European Week Of Regions and Cities

Partenalia will attend the 13th edition of the European Week Of Regions and Cities (Open Days), organized by the European Comission and the Committee of the Regions, the President Mr Markku Markkula will open the session on the first day of the event. It will take place in Brussels from 12th to the 15th of October.

 

On the opening day, Monday 12th of October, from 10:30 to 12:30 Partenalia will have the opportunity to represent Partenalia and to participate in the conference entitled “Provinces reinforcing economic development in rural areas” organized by the CEPLI (European Confederation of Local Intermediate Authorities). In the afternoon,  CEPLI will hold its General Assembly where Partenalia will also attend.

 
Furthermore, during the week we will be able to learn more about other participants’ views including that of Mrs Federica Morguerini, High Representative of the European Union and Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Vice-President of The European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President of the European Comission, Mr Ramón Luis Valcarcel, Vice-President of the European Comission, and the Comissioners Mr Phil Hogan, Mr Carlos Moedas, Mr Günter H. Oettinger and Mr Miguel Árias Cañete, discussing important topics relating to the European Regional Policy, thus making it a high profile event.
 
Partenalia staff in Brussels will attend as many events as possible during this week of opportunities and will share the conclusions of each debate/roundtable/conference via the Partenalia website. We can already announce our joint presence with the representatives of both the Province of Liège and the Province of Brabant Wallon at the debate organized on Wednesday 14th, entitled “Local authorities working together to promote SMEs and stakeholders for development with a view to Europe 2020”
