After the International Seminar on “Local Experiences in training, employment and local inclusion” held on the 17th of October in Seville (http://www.partenalia.eu/article/international-seminar-local-experiences-in-training-employment-and-local-inclusion-sevilla-17th-october-2013-14402260), the Social Affairs Working Group held an internal meeting chaired by the leader of the group, Diputación de Sevilla and its representative, Mrs. Rocío. Buitrago, in order to discuss the ongoing projects and future opportunities.
Topics such as training for people over 50 years old, support to youngster for finding a first job or internship or social experimentation pilots were debated during a round table overseen by Partenalia’s coordinator, Mrs. Paula Osés.
19 people form 4 EU countries attended this meeting and agreed on the next steps to follow in the future months.
After the meeting, the Group made a visit to one of the province Simulated Business in the Town of Dos Hermanas. This simulated company, which operates in the field of transport logistics is one of the oldest and running since 2004, the year the project started. Partenalia members saw and received explanations about the different jobs that are “simulated” in the company, their relationships and responsibilities as well as what additional training is offered to students and the actions taken to achieve real job placement of the participants.
Business Simulation is a training method based on real situations playback in the field of business administration. It allows participants of the training, based on this innovative methodology to acquire work experience you get for real by performing administrative tasks proper to the different jobs in commercial departments, human resources and accounting of a company. This project was sponsored by the Council of Seville in 2002 and from 2004 until now has been funded by the PO Regional ESF.
The simulated business operates within a simulated environment because, as any real company, relates to customers, suppliers, banks and public institutions. To this end, the Prodetur´s Agency of Simulation is a computing platform, simulates and recreates the agents and circumstances of this simulated market that makes possible the development of commercial activities of companies connected to the network Simulated Business Commercial managed by Prodetur.
