The green book “Los Gobiernos locales Intermedios en España”, was presented on the 7th of February, in Madrid, by the President of the Foundation on Democracy and Local government and President of Diputación de Barcelona, Antoni Fogue.
The event organized for the launched of the book has seen he participation of the Secretary of State for the Territorial policy, Gaspar Zarrías; the General Secretary of the Spanish federation of Municipalities and provinces (FEMP); the Vice-president of the Provinces commission of the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces (FEMP). The book, elaborated by the Foundation on democracy and local government, is focused on the territorial reforms and the role of Local Intermediate authorities in Spain. The study, which analysis the actual role of Local Intermediate Authorities in Spain, collects reflections and suggestions for the enhancement of their competences and representation system.
