The Minister of Romania- Angel Tilvàr- and the President of Partenalia- Javier Moliner- held a meeting last Thursday in Castellón, in which Tilvàr showed his interest in having a deep understanding of the Association and the possibility for different regions in Romania to be included as Partenalia members.
46% of the Romanian population live in rural regions, so that both Tilvàr and Moliner highlighted the importance for them to have sets and a voice in the European Union. In this regard, they can jointly respond to challenges determining their future; that is the reason why they require alliances concerning training and dissemination activities, so they are able to spread better adapted initiatives and the stimulus for local creativity, with a view to improving the social welfare of the population.
Romania, with 19 million inhabitants, is the seventh most-populous country in the EU. It is administratively divided into 41 districts and an independent municipality that corresponds to the capital Bucharest. They are directed by a Provincial Council and a prefect who acts as central government’s representative.
